Today in South Park, Oxford, over 1500 women and children competed in the 5K Muddy run in aid of Cancer Research.
From climbing ladders to army crawling through the thick Oxford mud pits, 4 girls from The White Horse Leisue and Tennis Centre in Abingdon joined together to show their support. They spent the week managing bake sales and gathering donations to raise over £600 to aid in the fight against Breast Cancer
…it was really challenging but well worth it…
Sisters Rosie and Gemma Hayes (pictured right), from the crèche at the leisure centre “ had a wonderful time, it was really challenging, but well worth it”. They found it “a lot harder than it looks but we will be back next year”
Rosie demonstrated true dedication when she unfortunately sustained an injury during the first challenge but decided to finish the 5K before seeking medical assistance.
The Muddy run raised an estimated £110,000 in the fight against cancer.
